The student will also become familiar with the potential risks associated with exposure to nanomaterials and how to assess them, and will learn about the mechanisms of action of nanomaterials at the genetic, cellular, tissue, organism, and ecosystem levels. Finally, he/she will acquire knowledge regarding safety protocols in the design and use of nanomaterials in the workplace and the existing regulations on the use and production of nanomaterials.
