Assessment comments

Attendance to face-to-face classes is compulsory.

On the 1st opportunity the assessment will be continuous and it will be required to attend at least 75% of the hours of face-to-face teaching. Only absences duly justified by the causes provided for in article 12.1 of the Norms for Assessment, Review and Claim of Qualifications for Bachelor's and Master's Degree Studies will be excluded from this calculation.

The provisional qualification (which will be definitive if the attendance requirement is met) in the 1st opportunity is calculated as follows:

  • Practical exam: at the official date with a weight of 30%,
  • Problems sets: 4 problem sets to be done in the classroom, but only the best three will count with a weight of 15% each,
  • Multiple choice exam: with a weight of 25%.

The qualification of the 2nd opportunity is calculated as follows:

  • Practical exam: at the official date with a weight of 30%,
  • Additional practical exam (replaces the problems sets), at the official data with a weight of 45%,
  • Test, at the official data, with a weight of 25%.

The student that had met the attendance requirement will be able to maintain the qualification obtained in the 1st opportunity in the test and/or in the problems sets, upon request.

Students with an academic exemption are exempt from the attendance requirement at the 1st opportunity. The evaluation on both opportunities will be as described above for the 2nd opportunity (exam: 75%, test: 25%).

It will be qualified with NOT PRESENTED the student who only participates in assessment activities that have a weight of less than 20% of the final qualification. In case of non-compliance of the attendance requirement, the definitive qualification will be the minimum of i) the provisional qualification and ii) 4.9 points.

Advanced call of December: The final qualification of the student who requests the advanced call of December will be obtained in an exam valued upon 10 points.

Conditions for carrying out the face-to-face exams: During the exams, you will not be able to access any device that allows external communication and/or information storage or use any software/application that has not been expressly permitted. You may be denied entry to the examination room with this type of device. The students must identify themselves by ID or equivalent to carry out the assessment tests.

Virtual platform: The UDC Virtual Campus (http://campusvirtual.udc.gal) will be used.

Small group tutoring will be used to carry out the continuous-assessment examinations.

In the event of committing fraud, the student will be graded with "fail" (numerical grade 0) in the academic year, irrespective of whether the fraud is committed on the first or on the second opportunity. If necessary, the qualification of the first opportunity will be modified as well.
