Assessment comments

Knowledge, the ability of:critical thinking, synthesis, comparison, processing, concepts application andoriginality of the student will be assessed. Grading system. The Spanishgrading system will be used as follows: Spanish Grade Definition ECTS GradeDefinition. 10 Matrícula de Honor A+ Top Qualification 9 -10 Sobresaliente AHighest 10% 7 – 8.9 Notable B Next 20% 5 – 6.9 Aprobado C-D Next 65% 0 – 4.9Suspenso FX-F Not Pass Attendance. It is strongly sugested the attendance atall activities. Attendance at all laboratory sessions is mandatory. Nonattendance implies not pass, fail with cero over ten, the subject.

First opportunity. At least a grade of 4 over ten in each of the twoparts of the final exam and lab work (report and oral presentation) is required to take into consideration therest of the assessable activities.

Second opportunity. Activities subject to assessment graded below 4 overten must be delivered again -except those related to seminars and lab sessions-,as well as redo the part(s) of the final exam with a mark below 4 over ten.

In both oportunities, in spite of getting a mark of five or above, over ten, byusing the weighted average, the final mark will be 4.5 if a least a grade of 4 over ten is not obtained in each of the two parts of the final exam and labwork and/or a grade below 4 over ten in the rest of each assessableactivities. In both opportunities, a final grade of five over ten is requiredto pass the subject. The final grade is calculated by considering allassessable activities and applying the weights indicated above.

Matricula deHonor (MH). An extra exam will be carried out in case of the number of studentstudents, eligible for Matrícula de Honor, is greater than the number ofallowed MHs. Students assessed in the second opportunity could also be eligiblefor Matrícula de Honor if the maximum allowed number of MHs has not been fullycovered in the first opportunity.

No presentado grade. Students who haveparticipated in scheduled assessment activities whose sum is less than 50% ofthe final mark will be graded as no presentado, except they achieved a mark offive over ten in the lab work.

Next academic courses. As regard to next academic courses, everything starts againwith the new course.

Part-time students and those exempted from attending classes. It is necessary for students to inform the teacher at the beginning of the course. Prevoiuscriteria also apply, but those related to attending and participating inseminars.

In this case students will have available seminar activities whichmust be delivered/uploaded as timely indicated by electronic means. Complementin doctorate studies. The mark will be PASS or FAIL.

Duringthe practical test, on either occasion, unless otherwise indicated, the use of anydevice with Internet access is prohibited. Although it is not advisable to bringthese devices to the activity, a space may be enabled for their storage, withoutthis implying any type of custody responsibility on the part of the UDC, the Facultyor the professors present during the objective test. If during the realizationof the practical test, there are indications of the unauthorized use of these devices,automatically @ student will be expelled from the classroom, and will proceed accordingto Law 3/2022, February 24, of university coexistence and the disciplinary regulationof the student of the UDC.

A
fraudulent, non-premeditated performance of the tests and / or activities will directly
imply the qualification of suspense ("0") in the subject in the corresponding
opportunity, also invalidating any qualification obtained in all activities for
the next opportunity, if any, within the same academic year. It is considered fraudulent,
with premeditation, the realization of the activities, proposed to be completed
in person in the classroom, that are done from outside the classroom; in this case,
it will proceed according to Law 3/2022, of February 24, on university coexistence
and the disciplinary regulations of the UDC student.

Plagiarism and fraud: for cases of fraudulent performance of evaluable activities, the rules of the Universidade da Coruña will apply.
