General description Preparation and characterization of inorganic compounds: Coordination compounds and non-molecular solids. CONTEXT: The course is fitted in the sixth semester of the Degree in Chemistry (3rd year), and is closely related to the subject of the fifth semester "Inorganic Chemistry 3." The two fields set up the module "Advanced Inorganic Chemistry", which will provide an adequate education to students in the fields of Coordination Chemistry and Solid State Chemistry.
Contingency plan 1. Modifications to the contents There are no modifications 2. Methodologies *Teaching methodologies that are maintained a) Lectures. b) Seminars. c) Laboratory practice, which will be carried out as “On-line version”. Supervised projects are maintained as well as the writing of the laboratory notebook but the oral presentation and the summary are eliminated. d) Mixed test is maintained in the first opportunity only if it can be performed in person in the outbuildings of the UDC. *Teaching methodologies that are modified a) If it is not possible to perform the mixed test in person in the outbuildings of the UDC, it will be eliminated in the first opportunity. Anyway, this mixed test is maintained, as an oral test, in the second opportunity. b) Laboratory practice is maintained but it will be carried out as “On-line version”. Supervised projects are maintained as well as the writing of the laboratory notebook but the oral presentation and the summary are eliminated. 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students Teams, e-mail and Moodle 4. Modifications in the evaluation If the mixed test is eliminated in the first opportunity (due to it cannot be carried out in the outbuildings of the UDC), the final mark will be calculated as: participation in seminars and lectures (15%) + Laboratory practice (continuous assessment) (85%). Mixed test (as oral exam) is maintained in the second opportunity. Mixed test (25%) + Laboratory practice test (75%). *Evaluation observations: The student can only do the exam of the laboratory practice in the second opportunity, if he/she has performed the practical training during the course (minimum 75%). 5. Modifications to the bibliography or webgraphy There are no modifications.
