Students will be introduced to micro- and nano-scale fabrication techniques and methods, as well as unconventional methods for creating nanostructures and surface functionalization. In addition, students will be introduced to the operation and processes of the cleanroom. Theory will be combined with practical examples and active participation will be encouraged. Upon completion, students will have a solid foundation in nanofabrication techniques to address technological challenges and contribute to scientific advancement in the fabrication of devices and structures at the micro and nanometer scale.
