General description Analisis of different parallel architectures that can be exploited in bioinformatics. Introduction to different parallel programming models. Usage of parallel systems to accelerate the execution of bioinformatics tools.

Methodologies *Teaching methodologies that are maintained - Oral lecture (trough Teams) - Objetive test (trough Campus Virtual) - Laboratory practice (through Teams and Campus Virtual) - Supervised projects (through email and Teams) - Oral presentation (through Teams) *Teaching methodologies that are modified No metodology will be modified but all of them will be performed through online platforms available at UDC. 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students – Email and chat in Teams: dayly. In order to ask questions, ask for virtual meetings to solve problems and follow the work in the supervised projects. – Campus Virtual: Weekly. The students will have news about the planning, the grades and different events. Moreover, the tasks will be submitted through Campus Virtual. – Teams: Online lectures through Teams videoconference. The oral presentations will al so be through Teams. 4. Modifications in the evaluation No modification *Evaluation observations: No modification 5.
