| Directed discussion | Sessions are based on a theoretical introduction to each didactic unit and the collective discussion in class of a series of readings. The active participation of students will be valued. |
| Long answer / essay questions | Throughout the course students should write an academic essay (6,000 words maximum) addressing a practical case of development cooperation that is linked to the management of migration. This case may be from the present context or have a historical perspective. The essays could be presented in class. |
