Dotar a los alumnos de los conocimientos teóricos y prácticos para enfrentarse a la supervivencia en la mar y para poder tomar parte en una operación de búsqueda y salvamento marítimos.
Fomentar la cultura de la seguridad como prevención.
Adquirir unos conocimientos técnicos y concienciar positivamente, sobre los temas de contaminación y protección del medio ambiente.
Formar a los alumnos de acuerdo al “Código Internacional de Seguridad” (ISM) y al “Convenio Internacional sobre Formación, Titulación y Guardia para la Gente de Mar (STCW 78/95)” en materia de seguridad.
