La asignatura se desarrolla dentro del ámbito maritimo en lo relativo a los servicios que los buques necesitan para ser operativos. Fundamentalmente se abordan los conceptos relativos a los dispositivos en cámara de máquinas atendiendo a las disposiciones legales y recomendaciones que hacen los equipos mas seguros y fiables.
