Methodologies Description
Mixed objective/subjective test Practical and applied problems. The development of teaching materials also leads to the realization of practical and applied problems, the value of the total course is 50%. In the midterm and final exams will be considered the evaluation of this important part of the course.
Short answer questions The evaluation of the theoretical part of thematic units of the course will be held continuously during the course by type controls test, as well as midterm and final exams scheduled. The overall value of the total course is 45%.
Guest lecture / keynote speech Theory. Geology The course is divided into five thematic units or competencies that must be purchased by the student and to be taught as theory classes in person in master classes by the teacher.
Field trip Field trip. Recognition of outcrops and morphostructural characteristics of soils and rocks within the context of regional geology and geology applied to civil works.
Laboratory practice I. Geological maps - geological methods of representation. Interpretation of Topographic Maps. Elements of the relief. Topographic profiles. Changes of scale. Tilted geological structures. II .- Analysis of geological maps. Determination of layer address. Determination of real and apparent dip. Discrepancies. Interpretation map. Determining the number and deduction of geologic history. III .- Geological maps with folds. Folds. Representation of the axes. Periclinal terminations. Rule of "V". Lode intrusions and lava flows. Interpretation map. IV .- Maps geologic faults. Fallas. Recognition of types of faults. Determination of relative motion. Interpretation map. V. - geological problems. Different spatial problems will be solved on the structural arrangement of the rocks by graphics doldrums and trigonometry.
