General description Increasing demands on sustainability, energy efficiency and cost control in buildings require new methods and tools to improve the collaboration of all professionals involved in the design and construction process in order to rationalize the decisions, optimize the processes and improve the quality of the final product reducing errors in all phases and increasing the performance of the design obtained. The objective of this course is to provide students with a basic knowledge of new information management tools in buildings such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology.
