General description
The focus of this subject is on the current state of the discipline, on the nature of information and on the concept "documentation". We will analyse deposits and the evolution of the documents stored in them. We will aim at seeing the importance of Information and Documentation for a critical analysis of information in the so-called knowledge society. We will also focus on the nature and evolution of Archives, libraries, Museums and Documentation Centres.
(*)The teaching guide is the document in which the URV publishes the information about all its courses. It is a public document and cannot be modified. Only in exceptional cases can it be revised by the competent agent or duly revised so that it is in line with current legislation.
