General description Parametric design of ship propellers and forms. This subject will provide the necessary knowledge to study the ship´s hydrodynamics as well as the propeller design under a particular vessel wake. The hydrodynamics fundamentals are based on the potential field theory and the finite volume method.
Contingency plan 1. Modifications to the contents No changes will be made. 2. Methodologies Teaching methodologies that are maintained All methodologies are maintained. All of them will be developed in a non-face-to-face environment in case of eventual need. Teacher methodologies that are modified All methodologies are maintained. All of them will be developed in a non-face-to-face environment in case of eventual need 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students Email: Continuously available under student demand. The attention will be performed during the schedules officially marked. Moodle: Continuously available under student demand. The attention will be performed during the schedules officially marked. Teams: Continuously available under student demand. The attention will be performed during the schedules officially marked. 4. Modifications in the evaluation The face-to-face exam of the subject will not take place. The subject qualification will be exclusively based on the home-work developed, and delivered by each student. Evaluation observations: Only students who submit the required homework in regular form and time will be eligible to pass the subject. The final qualification of the subject will be obtained, exclusively, through the homework/projects developed and uploaded by the students to the Moodle platform. Therefore, the face-to-face exam of the subject might not take place. In order to complete the assessment as fair as possible, students are committed to submit their work in the clearest manner. The uploaded work must be as self-explanatory as possible. Students should include all necessary explanatory notes in order to make them understand. As far as possible the qualifying procedure will be kept from first to second chance. As a result, if it becomes necessary, the second chance might also avoid the face-to-face exam. The qualification procedure will not make any difference between students with recognition of part-time dedication and academic exemption from attendance, as states the " NORMA QUE REGULA O RÉXIME DE DEDICACIÓN AO ESTUDO DÚAS ESTUDANTES DE GRAO NA UDC (Arts. 2.3; 3. b e 4.5) (29/5/212)” and/or full-time students. 5. Modifications to the bibliography or webgraphy Disregarded for unnecessary.
