A materia de podoloxía xeral pretende introducir ao alumno nas ciencias da podoloxía, o concepto de pé e as súas sistemáticas exploratorias coa intención de que sexa capaz de comprender a función principal e diferenciada da profesión e que ao continuar os estudos de cursos superiores, integre os conceptos fundamentais e a metodoloxía de traballo que no futuro permítanlle desenvolverse de forma autónoma.
