A materia trata de iniciar ó estudantado na redacción de proxectos e informes de investigación no ámbito das ciencias sociais, o que implica abordar, ainda que de forma esquemática, a lóxica do proceso de investigación neste campo de coñecemento. A lectura de informes e a redacción de proxectos son os eixos que vertebran a dinámica de traballo.
