Nesta materia preténdese que o alumnado acade os fundamentos da intervención psicolóxica en contextos familiares convencionais, non convencionais e de risco. O temario estrutúrase nunha parte teórica, onde se presentan cales son os fundamentos dun funcionamento familiar óptimo en canto a vínculos afectivos e estratexias de socialización, e como estas variables poden resultar afectadas en contextos non convencionais e de risco. A parte práctica está formada por temas que son de especial interese para a formación do educador e educadora familiar.
