General description The course “Wellbeing Provision Models” explores how contemporary societies resolve the well-being and care needs of their population. To do this, the participation in the provision of well-being of four main entities is analyzed: families, the market, the State and the community. The consideration of these agents in the provision of well-being will be analyzed from a theoretical point of view, addressing a gender and intersectional perspective. In addition, the historical participation of these actors in the provision of well-being and care is explored, delving into the most recent processes of change (Great Recession, COVID-19 health crisis, etc.). The program is focused on the Spanish case to address these transformations in a concrete and situated way, but it will always try to compare with other geographical and sociopolitical realities. In classes, the principle of democratic debate will be upheld, listening to and respecting all diverse opinions regarding the topics discussed, both from teachers and students.
