Simulation is a Lean technique for designing and improving processes that plays a fundamental role in Industry 4.0. The aim of this course is to learn discrete event simulation techniques applied to the design of advanced production systems. Specifically, design and optimisation problems of manufacturing https://guiadocente.udc.es/docencia/professor/#plants belonging to real R&D&I projects where discrete event models are applied will be analysed. The subject, therefore, will help to learn both simulation techniques and the improvement and optimisation of automated and robotised manufacturing
