O obxectivo da materia e formar aos alumnos nos rudimentos técnicos da edición de vídeo ao tempo que complementar e afondar na súa formación na linguaxe audiovisual. Centrarase de forma especial en amosar a diferencia da edición e montaxe nunha produción de imaxe real e nunha produción de animación, vendo os procedementos en cada unha destas disciplinas.
