La complejidad de la asignatura ha obligado a dividirla en tre bloques fundamentales:
1º Geografía económica portuaria, tráfico y circulación marítima. Hinterland y Foreland.
2º Conocimiento de los prámetros económicos fundamentales para el estudio de la micro y macro economía.
3ºEstructura y organización de la empresa naviera. Fletamentos marítimos.
