General description	En liñas xerais, a materia pretende formar ao alumno no campo da prevención de lesións provocadas pola práctica deportiva ou exercicio, no tratamento de atletas/practicantes de actividade física que sofren unha lesión aguda ou enfermidade no adestramento ou na competición, e na asistencia na recuperación do óptimo funcionamento e mellora do rendemento do atleta/practicante de actividade física.
