General description

¿Por qué existe la diversidad lingüística? ¿Cómo se produce? ¿Qué conexiones hay entre la diversidad lingüística, la geografía y la historia de los grupos humanos? ¿Cómo perciben los grupos humanos la diversidad lingüística? ¿Cómo la manipulan y para qué fines? Estas y otras preguntas configuran un campo emergente de investigación interdisciplinar, en el que las investigaciones de la lingüística histórica, de la tipología lingüística y de la sociolingüística se entrecruzan con la arqueología, la antropología, la historia y el análisis del discurso. En este curso pretendemos presentar y discutir algunas de las aportaciones recientes tanto en el ámbito de los hechos como en el de las hipótesis y en el del estudio de las representaciones.

Assessment comments
Se indicará una fecha límite para la entrega de cada uno de los ensayos o informes correspondientes a los diversos bloques de lecturas. Cada uno de los entregados en plazo se valorará de 1 a 10. Los entregados después de la fecha límite que se indique en cada caso serán aceptados, pero la puntuación no será superior a 5. La nota final será el promedio. Eventualmente, se plantearán preguntas breves que podrán conllevar puntuaciones de "propina", en las condiciones que se indiquen en cada caso. Segunda oportunidad: antes de la fecha oficial que se fije, deberán aportarse los ensayos/informes no entregados o una versión corregida de los valorados negativamente.
