General description No marco do Mestrado en Política Social, esta asignatura representa unha reflexión crítica sobre a evolución do capitalismo. Iso implica coñecer as crises do sistema e as solucións e modelos propostos para superalas. O curso estudará en detalle as consecuencias do modelo económico imposto trala crise de finais dos anos setenta, e as consecuencias sociais derivadas da aplicación de políticas económicas de oferta e axustes sociais: crecemento das desigualdades e crises de lexitimidade do sistema e os seus impactos no mercado de traballo. Especial atención merecerá o caso de Europa.

A2 CE2 - Interpretar os feitos e as políticas sociais desde os distintos paradigmas teóricos vixentes na análise da exclusión.
A3 CE3 - Deseñar e desenvolver procesos de observación e documentación para o estudo das políticas e os sistemas de benestar social.
A4 CE4 - Recompilar e interpretar a información suficiente para chegar a diagnósticos fiables sobre os riscos de exclusión e os factores de vulnerabilidade social.
A5 CE5 - Interpretar as situacións e os procesos de marxinación social e económica de colectivos desde unha perspectiva histórica e macroestrutural.
A6 CE6 - Avaliar a capacidade e eficacia das medidas de intervención para corrixir ou previr situacións e procesos de exclusión social.

Methodologies Description
Supervised projects A supervised work will be carried out that will consist of the design of a policy to reduce inequality in favor of some disadvantaged group.
Oral presentation The final works will be presented orally and discussed in the classroom
Workbook The professor will be able to provide a selection of readings for later discussion in class or to support the theoretical aspects developed throughout the subject.
Guest lecture / keynote speech The teacher will introduce the different contents of the subject in the lectures that will be participatory, encouraging the students to debate.

The principal of democratic debate will be supported in the class sessions: listening to and respecting all of the diverse opinions concerning the topics addressed, whether they are raised by teachers or students.

Personalized tutorials will be carried out, in the teacher's office or through thematic means, to support the development of the supervised works, the oral presentation and the doubts about the readings. T

For students with recognition of part-time dedication and academic exemption from exemption from attendance, a specific tutorial calendar compatible with their dedication will be agreed at the beginning of the course.
