Description |
Guest lecture / keynote speech |
Lesson taught by the teacher that may have different formats (theory, problems and / or general examples, general guidelines of the subject ...). The teacher can count on the support of audiovisual and computer media and the introduction of some questions aimed at students.
The objective is to introduce students to the concepts of the subject, thus transmitting the knowledge base that students need to start their work and start their learning. |
Workshop |
In these classrooms the main objective will be the realization of eminently practical tasks, with the support and supervision of the teaching staff: proposal and resolution of applications of theory, problems, exposition, debate or commentary of exercises, clarification of gifts on theory, etc.
However, it is also possible for the teacher to present some concepts, an exhibition aimed mainly at making their application clear or in any case as a complement to the master sessions.
Observation: to count the time that will be dedicated to the workshop, it will be taken into account that occasionally a part of a face-to-face hour can be divided between workshop and oral test. |
ICT practicals |
In these classrooms the main objective will be the performance of eminently practical tasks, with the support and supervision of the teaching staff.
It will work with the support of the computer, and will be reserved for topics or concepts in which the intensity of the calculations recommends it.
In a transversal way, students will also be introduced to work in Statistics with computers. |
Mixed objective/subjective test |
Written test used for learning assessment. In it you can combine different question formats such as exercises, short answer questions, test, ... The final objective is that, by providing the expected response, the student develops his reasoning capacity and the teacher has an instrument for evaluating the knowledge, skills, performance and abilities of the student. |
Collaborative learning |
Joint work of the students, organized in groups, in the resolution of tasks assigned by the teacher to optimize both their own learning and that of the other members of the group.
Several group tutoring sessions will be dedicated (outside the usual class hours) in which the teaching staff will interact with the students to facilitate the development of tasks, the time that the students expose their doubts and / or the difficulties with which they find themselves in the realization of the same. In this way, a debate is created between them, their peers and the teacher that fosters the interrelation at work and the critical spirit. |

Assessment comments |
The exams/tests for the evaluation of the course will be carried out only on the scheduled dates, except in exceptional cases subject to the criteria of the teacher.
The course will be considered approved when the total mark for the course is at least 5 points out of 10, and the minimum mark for the mixed tests has been exceeded.
Students who pass the course at the first opportunity, are not allowed to go to the second opportunity.
Group tutoring will be given outside of normal class hours. The schedule will be communicated to each group well in advance.
The evaluation criteria are the same for all evaluation opportunities. Second opportunity: The evaluation criteria are the same for all evaluation opportunities, so the final exam, considered as a Mixed Test, will continue to be 70% of the grade. To achieve 100% of the grade in this second opportunity, the teacher will indicate which evaluation activities will be necessary to carry out. Students who want to opt for this option must take into account that the final mark of the continuous evaluation will be the one obtained in this second opportunity, losing the one obtained in the first.
The evaluation conditions of the advanced opportunity will be specific to this opportunity, which will be evaluated through a single mixed test, which will mean 100% of the final qualification.
Students with part-time dedication or academic waiver of class attendance will be evaluated with the same criteria as full-time students.
Qualification of not presented: Corresponds to the student, when he only participates in evaluation activities that have a weighting of less than 20% of the final grade, regardless of the grade achieved.
It is prohibited to access the exam room with any device that allows communication with the outside and / or storage of information.
The student must prove his personality in accordance with current regulations.
Tutorials and small group tutorials will always be done non-face-to-face.
