Methodologies
Methodologies Description
Guest lecture / keynote speech Oral presentation by the teacher of the fundamental aspects of the subject. The presentations will be complemented with the use of audiovisual media, readings and the introduction of some questions addressed to the students.
The material for the lectures will be made available on the virtual campus for online and face-to-face students.
In the classes, the principle of democratic debate will be upheld, listening to and respecting all the different opinions on the subjects dealt with, both on the part of the teaching staff and the students.
Research (Research project) Students will carry out a group research project consisting of the design of a research project, and will focus on the application of tools and techniques of analysis for the diagnosis of a social reality. After a first phase of identification of the topic/problem and the techniques to be used, which will take place in the subject "Design of projects and research work", in the subject "Updating and Transfer Workshop" the research will be carried out, complementing the work previously carried out.
Aprendizaxe servizo An educational proposal that combines learning and community service processes in a single project where students learn to work on real needs in their environment in order to improve it. It has a triple intention: pedagogical, supportive and reflective.
In collaboration with the NGO Arquitectura sen Fronteiras, in the 23-24 course, the projects of the subject will have as a common thread the demand for a dignified and caring habitat. Taking the Agra de Orzán neighbourhood as the context in which to investigate, the groups of students will design their projects on related themes, carry out a participatory diagnosis in collaboration with the neighbours of the neighbourhood, and devise transformative proposals that facilitate care in the urban space.
Oral presentation The oral presentation and the presentation and argumentation of the work carried out is a basic and very important part of the training process. Therefore, at the end of the course, students will make a brief presentation of the group work, highlighting the most important and significant parts of the presentation.

Research (Research project)
Description
A personalised monitoring of the work carried out by the students will be carried out, both in the work sessions that take place in class, during field trips, and during tutorial hours.

In the case of part-time students or students with part-time dedication and academic dispensation of exemption from attendance, a specific schedule of tutorials compatible with their dedication and attendance will be agreed at the beginning of the course. The tutorials, which must be requested in advance, will preferably be carried out virtually (via Teams or e-mail). The work material used in class will be available through the virtual platform of the subject.

Assessment
Methodologies Competencies Description Qualification
Oral presentation B5 B17 C6 The research project will count for the bulk of the marks for the subject. A clear description of the problem under study, an appropriate choice of analytical techniques, an orderly presentation of the results and relevant and timely conclusions will be assessed. 10
Research (Research project) A2 B6 B13 C3 C5 C7 The presentation of the work, in the format defined, will result in a complementary mark for the subject. At the beginning of the course, the format for the presentation of the research work will be decided in agreement with the students. 90

Assessment comments

The evaluation of the subject "Design of projects and research work" will be joint with the subject "Updating and transfer workshop". It will only be necessary to submit a joint work for both subjects.

In order to pass the subject, students must obtain at least half of the maximum grade (5 out of 10) in the tutored work.

The evaluation of students of the on-line modality or with recognition of part-time dedication and with academic dispensation of exemption of attendance, will be the same as that of the students with full time dedication.

In the 2nd opportunity, the evaluation criteria and graded assignments will be the same as those proposed for the 1st call.

Online students will be able to have tutorials via Teams (by appointment) or by email.

Plagiarism in individual work, once verified, will directly imply a failing grade of "0" in the subject in the corresponding exam session.
