General description Conocer las principales instituciones jurídicas públicas y privadas relacionadas con el transporte marítimo, gestión administrativa del buque y empresa marítima: Ordenación administrativa de la Navegación, vehículos y accidentes de la Navegación.
Aprender a manejar la legislación y utilizar un análisis jurídico para resolver los conflictos que se presenten en relación con los temas impartidos, con finalidad de realizar una navegación segura del buque y protección del medio ambiente marino

Methodologies Description
Guest lecture / keynote speech The teacher presents a lesson of the syllabus and the introduction of some questions addressed to the students with the purpose of transmitting knowledge and facilitating learning. In addition to the oral presentation time by the teacher, this training activity requires the student to dedicate some time to prepare and review the class materials on their own.
Workshop Students are asked to carry out work and solve practical cases. This activity, as indicated, can be done individually or in work groups. It also requires oral presentation of the work and case studies followed by a debate in the classroom. All this with the support and supervision of the teacher.

The teacher will be at the students' disposal to solve any doubt or clarification about the theory or the works and practical cases object of study.

The depth of the content, the language appropriate to the legal context, the use of complementary and current documentary sources, as well as the presentation and clarity in the exposition will be taken into account. Assessment comments

The evaluation criteria contemplated in table A-II/1 of the STCW Code, and included in the Quality Assurance System, will be taken into account when designing and carrying out the evaluation.

 REQUIREMENTS TO PASS THE SUBJECT: 1. Attend and participate regularly in class activities minimum 80% 2. Obtain a score of 50% of the weight of each of the parts to evaluate (questions and practical cases / exam). 3. Hand in and present the case studies on the indicated date. 

Students with recognition of part-time dedication and academic dispensation of exemption from attendance, second establishes the "NORMA QUE REGULA O RÉGIMEN DE DEDICACIÓN AL ESTUDIO DOS ESTUDIANTES DE GRADO EN LA UDC (Arts. 2.3; 3.b; 4.3 y 7.5) (04/05/2017) may take the partial tests if any without the need to attend or 80% of the face-to-face classes, provided that teachers are duly informed at the beginning of the course. Without detriment to the above, the teachers will be able to order this student different works/problems throughout the course to be exposed in tutoring hours. 

Qualification of failure in the call in which the fault is committed and respect for the subject in which it is committed: o/a student will be qualified with "suspense" (numerical grade 0) in the call corresponding to the academic year, whether the commission of the fault occurs in the first opportunity as in the second. For this reason, the grade will be modified in the first opportunity report if necessary.
