General description Despois do período da Guerra Fría a partir de 1989 comézase a incorporar a crítica feminista ás
estruturas de coñecemento subxacentes nas que se basearon os estudos de política internacional, coas que facer visibles os mecanismos e as relacións de dominación e subordinación entre homes e
mulleres indispensable para comprender as dinámicas xeopolíticas. Os estudos de xénero e a visibilización das mulleres, converteuse nun asunto central para as políticas de Nacións Unidas que queda subliñado desde a axenda do milenio e máis aínda se cabe na axenda 2030, ao destacar que sen igualdade e sen o empoderamento das nenas e mulleres, que constitúen a metade da poboación mundial, non será posible a consecución de sociedades desenvolvidas, sostibles e pacíficas. A perspectiva de xénero representa por tanto o principal reto do estudo e da práctica da política internacional, un coñecemento indispensable para aquelas persoas que han de formarse como especialistas en relacións internacionais.

Assessment comments

Students will have the option to choose between continuous and global evaluation within one month from the beginning of classes.

CONTINUOUS EVALUATION
Continuous evaluation criteria: development of an obligatory work IN GROUP (30 %), presentation of the work (20 %), development exam (30 %), exam of objective questions (30 %).
