General description

O Traballo de Fin de Mestrado (TFM) é o colofón do curso de posgrao. Todos/as os/as alumnos/as deben realizalo cando superasen os módulos da Parte xeral, finalizada a Especialidade e realizadas as Prácticas. Non se poderá obter o título de Mestrado sen a previa superación do TFM, nin poderá presentarse o TFM sen superar previamente os créditos formativos.

The prerequisites to overcome the modules of the General part and the realization of the Specialization implies knowledge that enables the student to carry out his/her Final Dissertation, which consists of a tutored research on a topic chosen by the student and the tutor. The learning results are summarized in the in-depth study of some of the topics studied in the Degree which are of personal and/or professional interest for the student, either because he/she already has a professional career focused on that direction or because he/she wants to dedicate himself/herself to it. The Final Dissertation must be done, as a general rule, on a subject that is part of the student's specialization. It must be taken into account that the topic is chosen between the student and the tutor who supervises the performance of the Final Dissertation in all its phases and must give his or her approval for its presentation.	It is necessary to point out that students who are studying the second term at Widener, in order to obtain the Double Degree (MAXE and MASTER OF LAWS IN CORPORATE LAW AND FINANCE), carry out their Final Dissertation in the USA, because the speciality is studied there.

Methodologies

Methodologies	Description
Document analysis	The student will have to make an exhaustive search of the appropriate materials for the Final Dissertation: legal, jurisprudential, doctrinal, etc.
Workbook	A fundamental element for the writing of the Final Dissertation is the reading of all the materials obtained.
Research (Research project)	The student must write the Final Dissertation, with the support and encouragement of the tutor at all times
Directed discussion	By means of face-to-face or telematic meetings, the student will discuss the contents of the work with the tutor.
Oral presentation	The Final Dissertation shall be presented orally before the Tribunal constituted for that purpose.

Description

The tutor will arrange face-to-face or telematic meetings with the student in order to help him/her to analyse the sources, discuss the content of the work or guide him/her for the public defence.

Students will have a maximum of 10 minutes to present their work and may receive questions or recommendations from the panel.	30

Assessment comments
The Tribunal will evaluate the content of the Final Dissertation (70%) and the oral presentation (30%) and will give a numerical grade between 0 and 10. The grade of Honorary Mention will be given to the best Final Dissertation.
