General description O TFG supón a realización, por parte de cada estudante e de forma individual, dun caso práctico ou un informe xurídico concreto baixo a supervisión dun ou máis tutores.

Neste traballo deben integrarse e desenvolverse os contidos formativos recibidos, así como as capacidades, competencias e habilidades adquiridas durante o período de docencia do grao.

For the TFG each student must individually complete a practical case or a specific legal report under the supervisions of one or more tutors.
 The educational content received must be incorporated and developed in this work, as well as the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired during the teaching period of the degree.

Methodologies Description
Oral presentation The students will defend their TFG publicly and face-to-face. If a student should request, providing reasons and justification, to defend their TFG in a distance rather than face-to-face manner, they will need to do so before the Study Programme Board, a department of the Governing Council, in order to authorise it or not. This will be done provided that the required legal, technical, administrative and economic conditions are met. The completion, presentation and defence of the TFG may be carried out in any of the languages using the teaching of the course, in accordance with the provisions of the degree verification report.
The panel will inform each student of the maximum amount of time they have to defend their TFG, during which they must set out the objectives, methodology, content and conclusions of their work. At the end the student must answer any questions put to them by members of the assessment panel and respond to any clarifications, comments and suggestions.
Supervised projects Methodology designed to encourage the students to learn independently, under the guidance of the tutor and in various settings (academic and professional). The main emphasis focuses on learning “how to do things”. It is an option based on students taking responsibility for their own learning.
This teaching system is based on two basic elements: the independent learning of the students and the monitoring of this learning by the teacher-tutor.
Document analysis The student must analyse the legal and caselaw sources in the appropriate way in order to rule on the case or to produce the proposed report correctly.

Description
The TFG will be directed by a member of the faculty of the departments with full-time teaching in the curriculum of the degree.

Such professor will be responsible for:
a) explaining the characteristics of the work to the students under his/her supervision, and guiding them in its development;
b) follow up on the development of the TFG and ensure compliance with the objectives set;
c) authorize the presentation and defense of the TFG.

The work of the tutor will consist of advising and correcting the work at the formal level, without entering into the correction of the material content of the case.

The student must contact the tutor, arrange tutorials throughout the term and comply with the calendar that, eventually, the tutor may indicate. Repeated failure to comply with these duties will result in an unfavorable report and, as a consequence, the impossibility of submitting the TFG.

Assessment comments

Once the presentation has been made by the student, the panel will deliberate on the corresponding grade. The evaluation criteria of the teaching guide and the provisions of the verification report of the degree will be applied. The criteria will be made public before the defense of the TFG. For the final grade, the arithmetic mean of the grades assigned to the TFG by each of the members of the examining board will be established.

In the last calls, as a guideline, the Court is applying the following criteria regarding the oral presentation: up to 20% for the TFG presentation and up to 30% for the question and answer session. The grade is awarded according to the following numerical scale established in Royal Decree 1125/2003, from 0 to 10, with one decimal place, to which the corresponding qualitative grade must be added: a) 0-4.9 fail b) 5.0-6.9 pass c) 7.0-8.9 outstanding d) 9.0-10 outstanding.

Students who obtain a grade equal to or higher than 9.0 points, according to the criteria of the examining board, may be awarded the honorable mention. The revision and/or claim of the final grades of the TFG will be carried out in accordance with the UDC regulations.

In case of plagiarism, the work will be graded with a grade of Fail (0) and the appropriate complaint will be processed to the competent academic authorities, with the aim of debugging the possible responsibilities of the student.

Other comments
With regards the TFG, it is an indispensable requirement that the students have passed all the subjects of the Law Degree. The regulations allow the students to submit the TFG while they are still yet to pass some subjects, but they may only defend the TFG when they have passed all the subjects of the Law Degree.
