General description Este curso analiza os conceptos de desenvolvemento, cooperación para o desenvolvemento e co-desenvolvemento desde unha perspectiva sociolóxica e política. Os alumnos estudarán os principais plans de cooperación ao desenvolvemento promovidos pola Unión Europea no marco da política de veciñanza. Prestarase especial atención ás relacións cos países da rexión mediterránea e con África.

Methodologies Description
Directed discussion Sessions are based on a theoretical introduction to each didactic unit and the collective discussion in class of a series of readings. The active participation of students will be valued.
Long answer / essay questions Throughout the course students should write an academic essay (6,000 words maximum) addressing a practical case of development cooperation that is linked to the management of migration. This case may be from the present context or have a historical perspective. The essays could be presented in class.
