Nesta materia os estudantes familiarizaranse coas nocións básicas da Sociolingüística, tomarán conciencia da diversidade lingüística e de como se relaciona con múltiples fenómenos sociais, e de como organizan os repertorios lingüísticos en diferentes contextos, con especial atención á as situacións de contacto de linguas e variedades e á emerxencia e desenvolvemento dun sistema lingüístico mundial.
