The contents comprise a first part on the general definition of marriage and the theory of marriage systems; it bestows special attention to the interaction between religious and civil regulations of marriage. The second part consists on the analysis of particular marriage systems, following a general scheme which conveys the capacity to marry and its restrictions, the consent, and the formalities of marriage, as well as its civil effects, highlighting similarities and differences among them. The methodology is based on students’ presentations of a marriage system of their own choice, and the participation on the discussions that will be held in the classes | A1 A2 A4 A6 A10 A13 |
