This subject falls within the framework of English for Specific Purposes and has been designed around a series of learning goals, based on improving the four key skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – through the study and use of a range of tourism-based materials. It includes an introduction to the terminology of tourism and covers a range of semantic fields such as the structure of the tourism industry, history, art, built and environmental heritage, gastronomy, communication and promotion.
