General description This course introduces key concepts of the area of Foreing Language Teaching in Primary Education focused on the teaching and learning process from a critical and reflective perspective. Students will be introduced to Foreign Language Teaching putting emphasis on the communicative competence and the four language skills. Likewise, students will revisit key concepts concerning the use of English language to deal with the course contents as well as their future job as teachers in an plurilingual European space.
Contingency plan 1. Modifications to the contents There are no modifications. 2. Methodologies * Teaching methodologies are maintained but adapted to remote teaching. As this is a mandatory course with a high number of students that exceeds the recommended classroom's capacity, the blended learning model will be implemented in accordance to MODELO DOCENTE DE LA FACULTAD DE CC DE LA EDUCACIÓN PARA EL CURSO 21/22 POR MOTIVO DEL COVID-19 (Aprobado por la Xunta de Facultade el 15 de julio de 2021). Therefore, other telematic means (Teams, Stream, Moodle) will be used along face-to-face learning. 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students Personal attendance will be carried out virtually by UDC mail, diverted telephone, moodle and TEAMS. 4. Modifications in the evaluation *Evaluation observations: - I.1. Use of the English Language. 1.5 points. - I.2. Didactics of the EL. 3 points. - I.3. Comprehension and written expression. 1 point. - I.4. Individual or group work. 2.5 points. - I.5. Oral presentation. 1 point. - I.6. Portfolio. 1 point. 5. Modifications to the bibliography or webgraphy
