Assessment comments

Ongoing and punctual
assessments:

Students must pass a mixed test (objective and developmental) as part of
their evaluation. Those who achieve a score above 4 on this test will be
eligible to proceed with evaluation using other methodologies (assignments,
laboratory practices, etc.).

If a student fails to complete any of the scheduled evaluative
activities, the score for that specific activity will be transferred to the
mixed test, adjusting its weight in the final grade according to the
established evaluation methodology.

First and second opportunity:

During the first assessment opportunity, both the grades from
assignments and laboratory practices will be considered, provided the latter
score at least a 4 on the mixed test. The grades obtained in these
methodologies during the course will carry over to the second opportunity, with
no option to redo assignments or practices.

Advanced call for examination:

For students opting for the advanced examination call, laboratory
practices and the mixed test will be considered, with the latter accounting for
95% of the final grade and the laboratory practices making up the remaining 5%.

Attendance at practices:

Attendance at laboratory practices is mandatory to pass the course.
Students who are unable to attend and provide a valid excuse must take a makeup
exam on the day of the January examination call or during the second
opportunity.

Academic dispensation:

In cases of authorized academic dispensation, for either the first or
second opportunity, the grade obtained in the exam will account for 100% of the
final grade.

Academic integrity:

All normative aspects related to academic dispensation, dedication to
study, permanence, and academic fraud will be governed in accordance with the
current academic regulations of the University of La Coruña.
