During the second semester of the course, the student will go further studying the structure and reactivity of organic functional groups. Prof Marcos D. García Romero is in charge of the teaching in english.
Contingency plan In case of capacity problems in the spaces designated for the realization of face-to-face activities, additional spaces will be reserved in which students can follow the activities through the TEAMS platform. In the case of practical activities, the groups will be divided according to the capacity of the laboratory. 1. Modifications in the contents No changes will be made 2. Methodologies * Teaching methodologies that are maintained: All the methodologies would be maintained, adapted to a non-face-to-face mode and developed in the virtual classrooms within Moodle and Teams. * Teaching methodologies that are modified: – Lectures: They will be held through the Teams platform and will be recorded and hosted on Microsoft stream. The link will be available in Moodle. - Seminars: they will be held through Teams and will also be recorded and stored in Microsoft stream. The use of the Moodle and BACON platforms remain unchanged. –Workshops: students must submit their assignments through the Moodle platform, and alternative online sessions will be organized. In addition, the student can request to present the tasks through the Teams platform or through oral explanations. - Laboratory practices: practical teaching will be done online by monitoring experiments carried out by the teacher. The student's activities will remain unchanged. - Mixed test: it will be done through the Moodle platform 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students: Activities will be tracked through teams, moodle and email. - Email: permanent. - Moodle: Daily; according to the needs of the students. - Teams: Master sessions, seminars and tutorials. 4. Modifications in the assesment In the case of suspension of face-to-face activities, the assesment will be carried out according to the following variable percentages according to the percentage of no attendance: Laboratory practices: 15% Seminars: 15% Workshops: 20% -40% Mixed test: 30-50% * Assesment observations: Observations to the assesment would be maintained 5. Modifications of bibliography or webgraphy It is recommended to use the electronic book platform (elibro) that can access different books of Organic Chemistry Xeral.
