General description This subject provides a first contact with the statistical techniques: statistical modelling, statistical tools to analyze data, and methods for the critical diagnosis and interpretation of the results in terms of the considered problem.

Methodologies *Teaching methodologies that are maintained Short answer questions: (10% final score), questionnaires will be completed online using campusvirtual.udc.es Supervised projects: a practical project consisting on the analysis of a real data set with statistical software related to the Descriptive Statistics part (10%) and Statistical inference (10% final score each) *Teaching methodologies that are modified Guest lecture / keynote speech: not assessed. They will given using TEAMS in the time slot the subject is asigned in the official calendar. Besides, they may be complemented with SCORM videos of explanations and self-assessment tests (not assessed) in campusvirtual.udc.es, so the students can check their own progress in the subject. ICT practicals: (not assessed). The face-to-face classes will be replaced with SCORM videos in moodle.udc.es, where the practical is fully explained. Besides, they will be complemented with weekly group tutorial sessions in TEAMS for follow-up and support. Finally, an example of a solved supervised project will be available in PDF in campusvirtual.udc.es, to guide and help the students with that learning activity. Problem solving: not assessed. The face-to-face classes will be replaced with PDF files with the exercises explained and solved, and a solved exam from previous years (PDF) in campusvirtual.udc.es Besides, the students will have weekly group tutorial sessions in TEAMS for follow-up and support. Objective test: (70% final score) it is modified as follows: (a) PROBABILITY block: (40% final score) There will be a mid-term test (20%) and a final exam (20%), both of them online using campusvirtual.udc.es. The problems solution must be scanned and uploaded. The questions without scanned solution will not be scored. (b) ED-INFERENCE block: (30% final score) it will be online using campusvirtual.udc.es. The problems solution must be scanned and uploaded. The questions without scanned solution will not be scored. 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students E-mail: Daily, to make queries, ask for tutorial sessions and for the follow-up of the practical projects. Videoconference (Teams): Weekly group tutorial sessions in TEAMS for follow-up and support. Also individual or group tutorial sessions on request. Moodle: Daily, according to the student’s needs. In the web platform Teams, the learning material will be stored. Discussion forums will be created linked to the units of the subject, to make queries and solve questions. 4. Modifications in the evaluation No changes *Evaluation observations: To pass the whole subject, it will be strictly necessary to pass each block separately. Otherwise, the final score will be 4.5 at most: (a) PROBABILITY: to pass this block the final score of all the assessment activities must be 4.5/10 at least. Besides, the score of the objective test must be 4/10 at least. The mid-term exam will be online, and it will not be qualifying, so the final exam will be compulsory. Modifications to the bibliography or webgraphy No changes, all the materials are available in campusvirtual.udc.es (II) MODIFICATION IN CASE THE CAPACITY OF THE CLASSROOM ASIGNED FOR THE SUBJECT IS EXCEEDED In case problems in the capacity of the spaces designated for the face-to-face activities, additional spaces will be booked where the students can follow the activities using the TEAMS platform. In the case of practical activities, the groups will be split to match the capacity of the laboratory
