Con esta materia preténdese a aproximación do alumnado ao turismo en todos os seus ámbitos dun modo introductorio. A adquisición dunha cultura turística e a comprensión dos distintos aspectos e organización da actividad dende un punto de vista transversal, son obxectivos básicos a alcanzar no transcurso da mesma e imprescindibles para que o alumnado se familiarice coa realidade turística e a súa terminoloxía.
