General description The subject of social and cultural anthropology is conceived as an introductory study, but comprehensive, to the systematic of contemporary anthropology, focusing on the contributions, theoretical and methodological approaches and areas of cutting edge research in the discipline and its connection to the great problems and processes of the current global socio-cultural reality. This is projected to expand and inform the student competencies in critical knowledge and conceptual tools and techniques to address the complex task of interpreting the diversity, specificity and regularities of contemporary cultural phenomena and their inherent problems, from the perspective of local point of view, a feature of the anthropological discipline.
Contingency plan 1. Modifications in the contents. There is no planned modification in the contents 2. Methodologies * Teaching methodologies that are maintained: Objective test Guided discussion Master session Resume. All of them with adaptation measures to contingency conditions that are expressed in each case Except for the "Master Session", all of them count in the evaluation. * Teaching methodologies that are modified: There is no teaching methodology that is modified compared to the last year. 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students: The personalized attention will be carried out individually with respect to the film summary, the subject taught in class and the discussions directed when the feedback for the student so requires (1 time a week minimum). In the event of a face-to-face situation, it will take place during the course of the subject tutorials. In case of non-attendance, it will take place online, during previously arranged tutoring hours, and via email (daily) or Moodle. For students with recognition of part-time dedication and academic exemption from attendance, specific tutorials will be agreed at the beginning of the course, either through Moodle, or arranged electronically through email, and that are compatible with their dedication 4. Modifications in the evaluation: no modifications are foreseen in the evaluation percentages assigned to each methodology, the latter. In the critical summary of ethnographic films, the student's capacity for identification, synthesis and interpretation of the sociocultural dimensions presented in them will be evaluated. * Evaluation observations: In the "Methodologies" chapter, the forms of evaluation of each of them are specified according to the face-to-face / contingency contexts. For full-time students, the minimum attendance at class sessions, to sit the objective test, will be 2/3 of the semester sessions In the case of students with recognition of part-time dedication and academic waiver of attendance exemption, except in relation to attendance at sessions, the evaluation requirements for the 1st and 2nd opportunity will be the same as for the remaining students, although, In the case of the "directed discussion", the oral presentation in class will be replaced by the delivery of the outline-summary of any of the indicated readings. 5. REQUIREMENTS TO EXCEED MATTER: 1. Regularly attend class sessions (minimum of 2/3 of the sessions for full-time students). Only in this way will they be able to take the objective test at the end of the course 2. Obtain a minimum score of 5 in the objective test, as a sine qua non condition, to compute the weighted average with the remaining methodologies (abstract and oral presentations); and that the overall rating resulting from said weighted average equals or exceeds 5. 3. Deliver and expose the summaries of ethnographic films on the date indicated. 4. To pass the subject in the 2nd chance call, the weighted average of all the methodologies must equal or exceed the 5-point rating. 5. Modifications of the bibliography or webgraphy: In the event of a contingency situation with confinement, students will be able to access anthropological texts and articles in the eBook application, through the UDC Library website. The web links to the ethnographic films object of summary and evaluation will be provided to the students during the course, either in person or through Moodle, depending on the face-to-face / not face-to-face context.
