General description The aim is to introduce students to the context of the information and knowledge society, communication as a variable that affects the social process. The aim is to observe the sociology of communication and public opinion as an applied and general subject of sociology. The theoretical framework and its contextualisation are developed and the weight of opinion in society is analysed.
Contingency plan 1. Modifications to the contents: No modifications will be made to the contents. The material will be available to students on the Moodle platform. 2. Methodologies *Teaching methodologies that will be maintained: - Lecture session: The lecture sessions (oral presentation) will be held during the scheduled timetable. They will be held synchronously through Teams Videoconference, but will also be recorded and uploaded to the Virtual Classroom, along with the material (presentations, readings, other audiovisual material) corresponding to each topic, so that students with connectivity problems have asynchronous access. The interaction with the students (participation and debate), will be maintained synchronously through videoconferencing or chat Teams and asynchronously also enabling Moodle Virtual Forums. - Research work: Group work of an empirical nature related to the subject matter of the course. The explanations will be made synchronously through Teams and asynchronously by uploading the explanation together with the corresponding material in the Virtual Classroom. Doubts will be solved in the virtual classes through Teams (whose recording will also be uploaded to Moodle), and in the Virtual Forum enabled for this specific methodology. Students may also request group tutorials that will be carried out through Teams. - Laboratory practicals: Practical activities (group or individual) in which different tests are combined; these are practicals on a specific topic, carried out with the support and supervision of the teachers of the subject. They will be explained through Teams in a synchronous way, but the explanation will be recorded and uploaded to the Virtual Classroom. The delivery of practices will be through the resources available in Moodle. - The exam will be carried out using the telematic tools and resources available to students. *Teaching methodologies that are modified: the methodologies will not be modified, but they will be adapted to the non-presential nature in a virtual way, and Virtual Forums will be incorporated (which will not be counted for evaluation). 3. Mechanisms of personalised attention to students: Different channels of direct communication with students will be established, through the tools and resources available to them: Teams, e-mail, Moodle or telephone (students with connectivity limitations). The attention will be developed in the weekly schedule of tutorials established by the teachers, in group tutorials to be agreed with the students, in the synchronous virtual sessions, in the virtual forums of Moodle, etc. 4. Modifications in the assessment: No modifications will be made in the assessment. *Assessment observations: The same observations will be maintained. 5. Modifications to the bibliography or webgraphy: There will be no variations in the material or bibliography. The material required of the students will be available in the Virtual Classroom, in the classroom situation.
