In classroom and virtual sessions, the principle of democratic debate will be upheld: listening to and respecting all diverse opinions on the topics discussed, both from the teaching staff and the students. Students are encouraged to incorporate some of the following issues related to gender equality in their studies and work: a) The use of inclusive language. b) The identification and analysis of sexist biases in resources, media and speeches etc. c) The adaptation of APA standards so that authors' personal names are included, as well as parity in the bibliography, to the extent that it is possible. f) The study of the role of women throughout history and their contributions to knowledge, past and present. d) The identification of models for non-hegemonic masculinities. e) Reflection on the roles associated with gender/sex stereotypes and the inclusive organization of interaction in the classroom. g) The use of feminist methodologies (that is, that promote gender/sexual equality) based on collaborative learning and care pedagogy. h) The identification and rejection of prejudices and sexist attitudes, including influencing the learning environment to prevent their occurence and promote values such as respect and equality before the law, despite our differences. i) The consultation of web pages, organizations and key documents such as these: -The Breaking Rules project, from the Faculty of Education Sciences (UDC): https://rompendoregras.wordpress.com/ -The Office for Gender Equality (OIX - UDC): https://www.udc.es/es/oficinaigualdade/ Students are also encouraged to incorporate some of the following issues related to environmental sustainability in their studies and work: 1.- If the delivery of document-based work related to coursework is carried out on paper, plastics will not be used; printing will be double-sided; recycled paper will be used; draft-printing will be avoided. 2.- Sustainable use of resources and the prevention of negative impacts on the natural environment must be respected. 3.- The importance of ethical principles related to sustainability values in personal and professional behavior must be upheld. Moreover, full inclusion and integration must be facilitated for students who — for physical, sensory, cognitive, psychological or socio-cultural reasons — experience difficulties in accessing appropriate, equal and successful university participation. |
