General description The aim of this module is to introduce the key concepts regarding Teaching Foreign Languages in Early Childhood Education. These concepts guide the teaching and learning process form a critical and reflective perspective. The module implies an approach to Teaching Foreign Languages focused on communicative competence and the oral skills, as listening and speaking are the key abilities to promote in this stage. Furthermore, students will revise the use of English as a tool, not only for this university module, but also for their future career in a plurilingual teaching context.
Contingency plan 1. Modifications to the contents: They are not modified 2. Methodologies *Teaching methodologies that are maintained The teaching methodologies are the same. As it is a compulsory subject with a number of enrolled students that exceeds the recommended capacity in the classrooms, the hybrid model will be implemented, according to the TEACHING MODEL OF THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION FOR THE 20/21 COURSE DUE TO THE COVID-19 (Approved by the Xunta de Facultade on July 13, 2020). Therefore, in addition to the face-to-face model, telematic means will be used (Teams, Stream, Moodle) *Teaching methodologies that are modified 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students: It will be done by email, Teams or moodle. 4. Modifications in the evaluation *Evaluation observations: The instruments and evaluation percentages will be the same, although telematic means (Teams, Stream, Moodle) may be used if necessary. 5. Modifications to the bibliography or webgraphy: No changes are made
