A materia de Educación de Persoas Adultas e Maiores é un campo de coñecemento e investigación recente, pero o suficientemente extenso e relevante como para organizarse nunha disciplina universitaria obrigatoria para os profesionais da educación social, compartindo coa asignatura de E. Permanente o módulo do Grado de Educación Social: APRENDIZAXE A LONGO DA VIDA.
