Methodologies Competencies Description Qualification
Oral presentation A2 A5 A14 B1 B3 B5 B6 C1 C3 C4 *Individual* oral presentations will have a value of up to 5% of the final grade and consist of the quality and quantity of participation in interactive sessions.

*Group* oral presentations will have a value of up to 35% of the final grade and consist of a micro-group presentation (during an interactive session) of a book or experience. All the members of the micro-group must participate. Each presentation will have a maximum duration of 15 minutes and all presentations will take place in the interactive sessions during the months of April and May. For this activity the following aspects will be assessed:

• Quality of participation in the preparation of this activity.
• Relevance and organization of the contents presented.

Supervised projects A1 A2 A3 A5 A6 A8 A9 A15 A21 B4 C1 C3 Papers (supervised projects) will be written by the micro-group, in pairs or individually, and part of the time reserved for the interactive sessions will be used for its elaboration. For more information about this final paper and the submission period, see this subject on the Campus Virtual platform.

When evaluating students' written work, the following aspects will be taken into account:

• Structure: presentation, organization of the content, expository clarity, and grammatical correction (30%).
• Content: understanding the basic ideas, conceptual mastery, use of the contents addressed throughout the term, relationships between them (analytical and synthetical capacity), creativity and innovation in the proposals, quality of participation in the preparation of this activity, and degree of substantiation of the sources (bibliographic references and final bibliography) (70%).

Assessment comments

To pass this subject, students must obtain a score of at least 5 (out of 10) on both assessment activities, and attend classroom sessions with due regularity (at least 80% of the total time). For more information on these assessment activities, please see the explanatory sheets available on the Campus Virtual platform for this subject.

Supervised projects (final papers) *not submitted* during the first opportunity can be submitted during the second opportunity without this fact influencing their evaluation. The same evaluation criteria will be applied both times (and no final exam is necessary).

IMPORTANT: In cases of plagiarism, the final grade/mark will be a failure for the corresponding assessment period (or "opportunity") in which the fault is committed: the student will be qualified with a "failure" (numerical grade 0) in the corresponding assessment period of the academic year, whether the fault occurs during the first opportunity or the second. If necessary, the final grade/mark will be modified in the formal transcript related to the first or second opportunity.

In the case of not being able to attend class with due regularity, or in the case of possessing an academic waiver, the student in question will have to take a final exam, and will submit one of the evaluation activities indicated above (or equivalent). In this case, the exam will weigh either 40% or 60% of the final grade, depending on the type of activity submitted. But if no activity is submitted, the exam will weigh 100% of the grade. The student can decide on the weight of the exam through these submission options. The exam will be taken without notes during the period established by the Faculty, or, exceptionally, by the instructor. Exceptionally, non-attending students can submit alternative activities instead of taking the exam, an option that will be determined by the teacher (if this option is deemed advisable or not).

These same conditions will be maintained during the second opportunity.

Those who attend class with due regularity but do not obtain the minimum score on any of the two evaluation activities will have to follow the indications contained in the previous paragraph in order to pass the subject.

Oral presentations and supervised projects that have *failed* cannot be recovered because the first activity (the oral presentation) is prepared in a group and presented in an interactive session, and the second activity (the supervised project) will not be evaluated more than once. The failed activity will be replaced by the final exam and the evaluation criteria stipulated in the previous paragraph will be applied.

The evaluation of students with part-time enrollment and/or with recognition of academic dispensation will be the same as that of the rest of the students: it will depend on the degree and quality of attendance of classroom sessions. On a case-by-case basis, the instructor may ask students to submit summaries of the required readings to make up for lack of sufficient class attendance.

The exam will consist of a mixed test in which the weight of each question will be specified. In the short answer questions, the aspectos will be taken into account: relevance and precision of the answer, conceptual clarity, and grammatical correctness. In the essay questions, the relevance and organization of the content, the conceptual domain, the connection between ideas, expository clarity, and grammatical correctness will be taken into account. For more information about the exam, see the explanatory sheet published in the subject space on the Campus Virtual platform.

Equality in gender perspective: As stated in various university instruction regulations, the gender perspective will be incorporated into this subject matter: non-sexist language will be used; authorship in the bibliography will reflect both sexes; the equal participation of female and male students in class sessions will be encouraged; the identification and modification of prejudices and sexist attitudes will be pursued; and participants in the learning environment will be encouraged to modify said discriminatory processes and promote values of respect and equality, identifying possible situations of discrimination based on gender and proposing actions and measures to correct them.
