Los objetivos que se pretenden alcanzar con el estudio de los archivos históricos del Noroeste son los siguientes:
a) Presentar los archivos históricos existentes en Galicia y el Norte de Portugal.
b) Dar a conocer el tipo de documentación que custodian.
C) Orientar acerca de la información que ofrecen estos archivos de modo que se puedan plantear diferentes líneas investigación por parte de los alumnos.
