General description This subject introduces and describes a series of statistical concepts focused on data science. Specifically, it will start with an introduction to sampling techniques and survey design, going through statistical inference as well as the main techniques of multivariate analysis. Additionally, different computational tools related to R statistical software for report generation will be introduced. A mainly applied approach will be used, trying to present all concepts within the context of information and library sciense.

Methodologies *Teaching methodologies that are modified Lecture session, ICT practices and case studies will be taught by teledocencia (Teams). The objective test will be carried out in a non face-to-face mode through Moodle. 3. Mechanisms for personalized attention to students Tools: Microsoft Teams, email and Moodle. Temporalization: Microsoft Teams will be used during class hours, in addition to tutoring hours. E-mail will serve as a means to resolve doubts and to exchange files and information in general. Moodle will serve to exchange information and subject material, in addition we will conduct multiple-choice tests and continuous assessment work using this tool. 4.
