Pharmacological therapy is clinical care related to the use of medications, alone or in combination with other types of therapy. In this subject, we will focus on the use of drugs in the field of podiatry.
Pharmacological Therapy is a subject that is taught in the first term of the fourth year of the Degree in Podiatry and the main contents are:
Specific pharmacology for podiatric use: indications, contraindications, side effects, interactions, precautions, active ingredients and specialties of: Anti-infective drugs: antibiotics, antivirals, antifungals and antiprotozoals; Opiates; Analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs; Local anesthetics; Corticosteroids; Antidiabetics; Anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents. Topical treatments.
Contingency plan
In the case of confinement, the student will be able to follow the classes in teams and will be able to take the seminars through the virtual campus. In the case of a positive pcr or confinement on the day of the exam, the UDC protocols will be followed.
