General description This course introduces the student to the conceptual, theoretical an applied aspects of Social Psychology, reviewing the different perspectives for the study of the interaction between te individual and the group. Additionally, it pursues teaching the student about the psychosocial processes that contribute to the explanation of collective behavior and social interaction, focusing on social perception, social identity and social attribution and cognition. The course intends to analyze real and symbolic contexts of human behavior, acknowledging the importance of the distinctivity of the psychosocial level of analysis to explain social behavior. This is why, so that within the so-called basic psychosocial process, great emphasis is made on the so-called Social Cognitive Psychology, given its interest and importance within the current trend of the discipline and the linkages with the fields described. The course is aimed, therefore, to examples and issues of interest to the student of Social Education, highlighting aspects of Cultural and Cross-Cultural Psychology, language, collective behavior and communication. Briefly, therefore, are intended to achieve the following end: - Basic knowledge of Social Psychology. - Development of search strategies and psychosocial assessment materials in each case are the future interest of the student. - Socialization of students in the terminology, way of conceptualizing reality and Social Psychology methodology.
