The subject Educational Theory aims to prepare future teachers of Early Childhood Education to critically reflect on their practice, learning to theorethically interpret different educational trends in relation to their political, historical and social contexts. It seeks to the concept of education and the dimensions, purposes and principles of different educational processes. It also deepens the analysis in relation to children's rights, contemporary pedagogical movements and the study of education theories from a critical perspective.
